Lee Holland is a professional musician in Nashville, TN.

A Nashville native, Lee has been in the business since 2005. He attended Belmont University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Commercial Music.

Always a working drummer, Lee’s live and studio credits include Josh Wilson, Aubrie Sellers, Megan McCormick, Missy Raines, Ethan Ballinger, Jenna Paulette, David Ian, High Road, Eilidh Patterson, Jane Ellen Bryant, Christen Ball, The Lowly Heirs, and more.

As an instructor, Lee takes a real-life approach to learning, focusing on skills that make for real-world musical proficiency. On the drums, this translates into an immediate focus on coordination and groove over technique and rudiments. Students will often find themselves able to play through real songs in little time. Not to worry, technique and essential rudiments will be addressed along the way, but never to the point of stifling the experience. Joy and musicality are the goal.

Furthermore, lesson content is largely customized to each student. Lee realizes that people have different personalities. Some are happy to plug away at exercises indefinitely. Others will exhibit a strong desire to dig into songs as the primary focus. A sensitivity to personality marks Lee’s teaching style. You can expect a personalized experience.
