Jessica Duncan brings over 20 years of experience to her role as a private piano and vocal instructor. Her musical journey began in childhood and led her to Shorter College, where she attended on a vocal scholarship and earned a Bachelor of Music Education (Vocal Principal, Piano Minor). She later completed her Master’s degree at Georgia State University.
As a seasoned musician and instructor, Jessica has mentored students who have successfully auditioned for and attended prestigious music institutions, including Belmont University and the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM).
Whether teaching in a private studio or a public/homeschool/academy classroom setting, she is deeply committed to each student’s growth and long-term success as a musician. She is proud that many of her students have gone into careers as professional musicians.
Most recently, Jessica served as Head of Educational Development at a Nashville-area music academy. In this leadership role, she oversaw student growth and developed a comprehensive curriculum for group vocal instruction.
Jessica specializes in a highly personalized approach that spans all genres—from musical theater and jazz to pop and classical. She is passionate about teaching piano and voice across all genres. With her voice students, she focuses on healthy vocal technique and empowers vocalists to have complete understanding and control of their instrument. She also works with vocalists interested in learning to accompany themselves at the piano, building both confidence and independence.
Her instruction is welcoming, flexible, and effective for students of all ages, meeting the individual needs of every student she teaches.
